Our Process

Our Process

Our communication system helps to link men to HIV testing and treatment virtually. Our clients – VALOR VIPs- can easily reach our VALOR VIP Guides through WhatsApp. Once men contact us, our highly skilled Guides will provide quality, confidential support and referrals to community based health services.

long term case management.

Our VALOR VIP Guides are highly skilled male and female case managers who have been specially selected because of their enthusiasm for men’s health and their desire to ensure men have access to the health services they need. Our VIP Guides are trained to be caring, confidential and supportive. They are committed to helping men overcome their fears and worries without judgment; ensuring that men feel confident they can get the help they need.

We support men in a warm and nonjudgmental way starting with our first contact through WhatsApp and then through each chat or call.  Every contact with a VIP Guide is strictly confidential. Using high quality counseling techniques, our VIP Guides encourage men to open up and share their concerns. Through each contact, Our VIP Guides build strong and supportive relationships with men to help them overcome their fears and to find the courage to get tested for HIV, start treatment and care and or get access to any other health services they may need. For men who test HIV positive, our VIP Guides become coaches and counselors who offer ongoing support that enables men to thrive through their treatment journey and to continue to enjoy their lives.

Reaching Impact, Saturation, and Epidemic Control (RISE) is a 5-year global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). RISE works with countries to achieve a shared vision of attaining and maintaining epidemic control, with stronger local partners capable of managing and achieving results through sustainable, self-reliant, and resilient health systems. RISE’s contributions to this work will lead to fewer new HIV infections, decreased HIV-related morbidity and mortality, and increased quality of life for people living with HIV. RISE is led by Jhpiego, together with consortium partners ICAP, ANOVA Health Institute, Management Sciences for Health , BAO Systems, JHU Center for Public Health and Human Rights and Mann Global Health. To learn more about the RISE project, visit us at
